Terms of Participation

Event: Sonnenterrassen Trail, Friday 21 to Saturday 22 May 2027, start and finish at the market square in St. Veit im Pongau. Races: Friday Dorf-Run, Saturday K12, K35 and K53.

Organiser: Trailrunning Club Sonnenterrasse, register number (ZVR) 1890997058, seat in St. Veit im Pongau, c/o TVB Salzburger Sonnenterrasse, Markt 12, 5621 St. Veit im Pongau (hereinafter “the organiser”).

By registering, participants accept as binding upon themselves the official race announcement, the rules and the competition and procedural regulations of the organiser in their respective current version. These provisions serve to ensure that the sport is practised uniformly and with equal opportunity for all; complying with them and accepting them is a basic condition of taking part in the event. Every participant is responsible for the technical safety of their own equipment and must ensure that it complies with the rules and the compulsory kit list. As far as the law permits, the organiser accepts no liability for accidents, personal injury or damage to property, nor for theft or other loss.

By registering for the Sonnenterrassen Trail I make the following declaration:

1. I know the competition rules and organisational guidelines set out in the official race announcement and the regulations in their current version, and I agree to them.
2. I confirm that there are no medical objections to my taking part and that my level of training and state of health match the demands of the race I have chosen (K12, K35 or K53).
3. I have been informed of the health and other dangers associated with the competition – in particular the alpine risks of a mountain and trail race – and I expressly confirm that I am taking part in the event on my own responsibility and at my own risk.
4. I confirm that neither I nor my legal successors will bring any legal claims or demands against the organiser, its staff or the companies and individuals it has engaged, nor against the clubs involved, landowners, the municipalities concerned or any other persons or bodies, unless the damage is due to gross negligence or intent.
5. I consent to any medical treatment at my own expense should this be advisable in the event of injury or illness during the race.
6. In the event of force majeure, postponement or cancellation of the event there is no right of recourse against the organiser; in these cases the entry fee cannot be refunded.
7. I agree that photographs, film and sound recordings made in connection with the event which show me, as well as my name, may be used by the organiser and by media of all kinds free of charge and without restriction for reporting (e.g. internet, television, press) and for promoting this and similar events (e.g. website, social media, brochures, posters).
8. I hereby release the organiser, the organising team and the staff and volunteers of the event from all liability claims, in so far as these are not due to gross negligence or intent and are not covered by statutory third-party liability insurance. This includes all direct damage as well as all claims which I, my legal successors or other entitled third parties may assert on the basis of injuries suffered or in the event of death.
9. The entry fee cannot be refunded, except where the organiser does not accept the entry. Transferring a place to the following year, to another person or to another event is not possible unless the race announcement provides otherwise.
10. I will attend the race briefing (as stated in the race announcement, function room of Hotel Metzgerwirt) and follow the rules of conduct given there.
11. I will follow the instructions of the officials and of all competition staff.

I consent to the collection and use of the data I provide when registering (name, address, year of birth, gender, race number, placing, finishing time, nationality, email address, team name, telephone number) by the organiser Trailrunning Club Sonnenterrasse for the purposes of running the event, of contacting me and of sending information about the event.

This consent can be withdrawn at any time, free of charge and with effect for the future – in writing to: Trailrunning Club Sonnenterrasse, c/o TVB Salzburger Sonnenterrasse, Markt 12, 5621 St. Veit im Pongau, Austria. Details of how data is processed are set out in our privacy policy.

I agree that my personal data (name, year of birth, gender, race number, placing, finishing time, nationality, team name or club, place of residence) may be passed to and processed by the participant management and timing system used by the organiser, for the purposes of processing the entry, timing and managing the results.

I agree that my results data may be passed to and processed by ITRA (International Trail Running Association, itra.run) for the purpose of results management.

I agree that my results data may be passed to and processed by DUV (Deutsche Ultramarathon-Vereinigung, ultra-marathon.org) for the purpose of results management.

These consents can be withdrawn at any time, free of charge and in writing, with the organiser (address above).

There is no intention to process your data for automated decision-making, including profiling (analysing data about behaviour, habits or preferences).

You have the right to withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawing consent to the use of data described above, which is necessary in order to run the event, before the race automatically cancels your entry under the conditions set out in the race announcement.

On the basis of the data subject’s consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, or in order to fulfil a contractual or legal obligation of the controller under Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) or (f) GDPR, personal data of the data subject is stored in so far as it is required for recording performances and results, or for results management in connection with entering or taking part in sporting events and competitions. Under Art. 17(3) in conjunction with Art. 89 GDPR it is kept and made publicly accessible for archiving purposes in the public interest and for the legitimate interests of the controller (in particular in start lists and results lists). The data subject expressly acknowledges this.

A basic condition of taking part is that the competitive performance is achieved without prohibited substances or methods. For that reason the following anti-doping code forms part of the terms of participation:

1. I reject the faking or obtaining of measured performances by doping, misuse of medication, manipulation or any other reckless and fraudulent conduct.
2. I undertake not to take any prohibited substances to increase my physical performance in order to achieve sporting results.
3. I guarantee to take medication only where there is a medical indication, and for my own protection I make sure, as far as possible, that medicines prescribed to me contain no substances on the international doping list.
4. I undertake, should I be found guilty under anti-doping rules, to repay to the respective providers all funding as well as all prize and sponsorship money I have received in the three years beforehand.
5. By taking part I consent to doping controls being carried out. By registering I accept the race announcement, the regulations, the matters described in the race announcement, these terms of participation and the anti-doping code, and thereby declare my agreement.

By registering you automatically agree to these terms of participation. The organiser reserves the right to change the race announcement – for example changes to the course made at short notice for safety reasons – and will announce such changes on st-trail.at.

Please note: the courses for 2027 (start and finish each at the market square in St. Veit) are currently being reworked. The binding routes will follow in the official race announcement.
